- I have a passion for handmade leather jewelry with an origin in the 10,000 year old indigenous Sami culture of northern Sweden, the country I was born in. I started SwedArt and www.swedart.com five years ago. I had no idea I would soon be selling to people in 15 countries 7 days a week! My customers often call the stunning SwedArt bracelets "addictive” :). It is a lot of fun to design new and exciting bracelet styles with both traditional materials like reindeer leather, pewter and silver wire, and reindeer antler with lambskin, and new materials like sterling silver and fine silver details, 14k gold, silk and leather cords, and Swarovski crystals. I even design in reindeer leather with animal prints like leopard, tiger, zebra, and croc, and metallic reindeer. I LOVE talking with my wonderful customers about the cool jewelry but we often end up talking by email or phone about all kinds of other things as well and it often feels like my customers are my friends. It will be fun to see where this blog will take me. I have no idea at this point.....not even if I will find time to write at all .........
